Cultivating Young Minds: Cedar Park’s 3rd Annual Business Day Event

While there’s almost never a dull moment at Kids Co. centers, once a year, something extra magical happens at Kids Co. at Cedar Park. Creativity, vision, and entrepreneurial spirit fill the air as our annual Business Day Event takes center stage. This year marked the 3rd edition of this exciting initiative, spearheaded by our dedicated Program Director, Gerleza Chancie.

Building Young Entrepreneurs

The Business Day Event is more than just a day of fun—it’s an immersive learning experience. From imagining product ideas to designing eye-catching store signs, evaluating pricing strategies, and perfecting sales pitches, the children dive into the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. It’s a hands-on opportunity that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and social interaction.

18 Future Entrepreneurs. 10 Visionary Businesses.

This year’s event was a showcase of imagination and innovation. Eighteen young entrepreneurs brought ten unique businesses to life, each offering products that reflected their passion and creativity:

Red Lemons: Served refreshing lemonade and offered squishies for added fun.

Mini Fruits: Kept the chill at bay with hot chocolate and entertained with homemade slime.

Boba Cats: Delighted guests with milk tea boba and slime creations.

Origami Palace: A solo venture offering intricate and unique origami pieces.

The Potion Shop: Inspired a little magic with healing Kool-aid potions and mana-generating slime.

The Paper Shop: Showcased paper crafts, including airplanes and creative boxes.

The Origami Shop: Offered playful paper creations like balloons, fortune tellers, and claws.

Squish: Dedicated to all things squishy, offering fun tactile products.

The Glitter Shop: Sparkled with slime, nano tape crafts, keychains, paintings, and bows.

Twin Trees, Inc: Offered handmade pot holders, perler bead designs, and engaging games like Wordle and Connections.

A Playground for Creativity, Communication, & Collaboration

Beyond crafting products and selling them, the event fostered essential life skills. The children learned the art of communication by pitching their ideas, built confidence in explaining their products, and collaborated with peers to bring their visions to life.

The experience wasn’t just about the end product but about the journey of learning, failing, innovating, and succeeding. It was inspiring to see each child shine in their unique way, confidently expressing their ideas and proudly sharing their creations with the community.

Honoring Vision and Dedication

The success of this event was made possible by the incredible leadership of our Program Director, Gerleza Chancie, and the unwavering dedication of the Cedar Park staff. Their vision, commitment, and hard work drove the Business Day Event, creating a space where young entrepreneurs could thrive.

Gerleza’s passion for empowering children and fostering creativity has shaped an environment where kids feel encouraged to dream big, explore new ideas, and develop essential life skills. Her leadership continues to be an inspiration to both children and staff at Cedar Park.

The Cedar Park team played a crucial role in orchestrating every detail, ensuring a seamless experience for our young business owners. Their efforts in setting up and managing the event allowed the children to confidently present their ideas and engage with their community.

Adding a special touch to the day, Elliot delighted everyone with delicious home-baked treats, making the event even more memorable. These tasty creations made the Business Day experience even sweeter.

Celebrating Growth & Vision

At Kids Co., we believe in nurturing every child’s potential. Events like Business Day help children explore their creativity, learn important fundamentals, and build lasting memories. It’s about empowering them with skills that extend beyond the classroom, fostering a sense of independence, confidence, and curiosity.
