Kids Co. is an organization with a mission that is important for Seattle. Kids Co. is a secure, mentoring, safe environment for all children regardless of ability to pay tuition.
I was born and raised in Seattle, a graduate of Seattle Public Schools. My undergraduate degree in Economics is from the University of Kansas and my graduate degree in Business Administration is from the University of Washington. I am a Veteran having served five years as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. As a financial officer I have advised a number of Seattle based companies.
I’m a commercial lender with over 12 years of experience building relationships with business owners and chief executives, helping them profitably grow their companies. The advice and insights I provide come from years of experience in credit analysis, entrepreneurship, and financial modeling. I earned my BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Among my community service activities, I serve as a board member of Kids Co. and as President and Co-founder of the Wharton Club of Seattle. I reside on the Eastside and enjoy running, hiking, and exploring with my middle school daughter.
I am currently the CFO of LabConnect, LLC, a life science services company. Previous to that, I was a CFO, an Economic and Strategy Consultant, and an Economic Researcher. I hold a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of Chicago. I live in Seattle with my wife and two daughters.
I serve as the Secretary of Kids Co. and the Director of Strategy Development and Implementation for Carrix, Inc. My husband and I are passionate about supporting our two young girls as they explore the world and take on new adventures in skiing, sailing, and anything that keeps them moving.
I am a marketer with almost 20 years of experience working for companies such as Adobe, American Express, F5 Networks, Microsoft and Starbucks.
I believe in the power of storytelling. One of the reasons I joined the Kids Co board is because I believe they have a powerful story to tell and an incomparable place in our community. As the mother of a 3 ½ year old, I am hyper-aware of the childcare challenges that face working parents today. I am excited to be part of the group spreading the word about this great community resource.
Katrina Johnson, a local native to Seattle, joined the Kids Co. board in January of 2018. Katrina has been an active member in the Seattle community by volunteering her time with non-profits such as the Anunnaki Project (2008-2013) as an aerialist, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Cycle for Life Board (2014-2016), and The University of Washington Cheer Squad (2002-2006). Professionally, Katrina has been in the insurance industry since 2007. She is an Employee Benefits Producer and her responsibilities include: new sales; leading client relationships; providing creative, all‐encompassing solutions; managing and evaluating vendor relationships; creating pricing and funding strategies; evaluating plan data; and supporting legal compliance and governance strategies. Katrina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Washington. Katrina loves her family, travel and her community.
I am a business litigation attorney and a partner with the law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP in Seattle. My law practice focuses on complex corporate and commercial disputes. I have been a member of the Kids Co. board since 2008 and served as board chair from 2012-2015.
I have been a part of the Kid Co. family since 2006, when I became their special consultant for tax and audit services. After a decade of professional ties, I retired from Bader Martin LLP, and soon joined the board to work with the company in an entirely different capacity by helping raise funds and providing organizational advice. Other than Kids Co., I’ve served on the boards of Childhaven and the Northwest Center. I live in NE Seattle with my wife and enjoy travel, handball, and helping the lives of the underserved.
