What we do

Kids Co. at Northwood, located at Northwood Elementary on Mercer Island, provides quality child care for our before and after-school programs focused on building students’ self-confidence, Support the social-emotional ability, life skills, and curiosity. We use the STEM AND STEAM Approach to our center activities and toys. we've joined the NASA Science Resources to enhance our program. our before-school care program, students have many options to start their day out on the right foot, including self-directed play, open-ended teacher-led activities, and nutritious breakfast. The morning session ends with a group clean-up and morning meeting. The after-school programs serve as a time for students to wind down after a long day at school. Snacks are available upon arrival. Our after-school program is based on choice. Students make decisions to participate in our daily activity, indoor free-play, or outdoor/gym active play. A dedicated homework time allows students a safe and supportive environment to get a start on their homework. A group clean-up and evening meeting finish off our day.

Summer Day Camp-Summer of Discovery!
June - August 2019

Our Kids Co. Summer Day Camps keep kids active, having fun, and learning all summer long so come along with us!

Kids will play with friends, create and explore new things, and travel to different places each week.

We are excited to launch our new programs, Kids Co.’s Big Read and Summer Run for Fun. Each day kids will dive into good books and track their progress, and collect “reading” tokens. Summer Run for Fun is our way of incorporating exercise, in a fun way, into our daily routine. Kids will earn “running shoes” tokens and track how far they’ve run, jogged, walked, or even skipped.
