PROVIDING CHILDCARE DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC
KIDS CO. AT McDONALD
Welcome to Kids Co. at McDonald, a childcare program located at McDonald International Elementary School in the Green Lake neighborhood. We're here to make your child's away-from-home-time as fun, safe, and educational as possible by providing our families with the following services. Kids Co. at Adams is currently providing full-day care during the pandemic. Kids who need care are provided with remote school support, extracurricular activities, reading time, friendships, and much more.
Our professional staff work with each child on their remote learning experience. This includes both synchronous and asynchronous learning as well as integrated learning, which includes expanded learning opportunities and physical activities. Staff check in one-on-one with each child throughout the day on the status of their assignments, how they are feeling about their work, are available to answer children’s questions or clarify instructions, assist with connectivity issues, and provide supplies and resources so kids can complete their work with as few challenges as possible.
Full-day childcare is available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

New themes, activities, and experiences each week.
- Designed with working parents in mind, our week-long day camps run from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Camp activities run from 9 am to 4 pm.
- Give yourself a break! Instead of shuttling your kids all over town to a new camp every week, choose one location all summer long.
- Our camps are a great option for gap weeks in your kid’s summer line-up!
- Licensed programs with professional staff who are trained in child/youth development, 1st Aid/CPR, and background checked.
- We are excited to launch our new programs, Kids Co.’s Big Read and Summer Run for Fun.
Each day kids will dive into good books and track their progress, and collect Big Read “reading” tokens. Our dedication to daily reading helps mitigate "summer reading loss," a decline in children's reading development that can occur during summer vacation times when children are away from the classroom and not participating in formal literacy programs. Read more about it here.
