Kids Co. School Age Afterschool Teacher Hiring Fair

All locations *$600 sign on bonus, plus quarterly retention bonuses and paid trainings.

Do you love working with kids, want to gain more professional experience as you work towards becoming a teacher, psychologist, school counselor, etc.? Kids Co. is local non-profit child care organization that believes no family should be turned away based on their ability to pay. We believe all kids learn through play and from positive adult role models. Kids Co. has been serving the community since 1989. We provide high quality child care programs – preschool, afterschool, and summer programs and serve ages 3-12 years. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, patient, lifelong learners who believe in equitable access to high quality care for ALL kids. If this you – join our afterschool school age teams!

We are hiring for all our locations – Lake City, Wedgwood/NE U-district, Magnolia, Ballard, Upper Queen Anne, Rainier Beach, Green Lake/Wallingford, Cap. Hill/Eastlake, Northgate, and Seward Park.

Schedules are M-F, and depending on program location work hours are M,T, Th, and F: 2PM-6PM and W: 12:30-6PM or M, T, Th, F: 3-6PM and W: 1:30-6PM with the opportunity for more hours during school break days and full day summer camps.

Salary Range: $20.00 to 23.00 Hourly DOE

How to participate: Join our Zoom waiting room by clicking on the link below between 10AM-12PM, once an interview room is available you will be selected on a first come, first served basis until we’ve interviewed all participants. Wait times will vary depending on number of applicants and when you join. We will ask that you submit your resume via email. After your interview will be notified that same day if we’d like to have you join our team. Once we’ve reviewed your resume, we will send you an offer.

*Sign on bonus: $300 upon hire and $300 after 90 days.

Benefits: 12 paid holidays, Paid Holiday Break in December 26-31st, PTO and Sick, Paid Trainings.

Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must have high school diploma or GED. A minimum of 1 year education beyond high school preferred.
  • 1 year experience working with school age children – child care, educational setting – teacher, para, nanny/babysitting, etc. preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance
  • TB Clearance
  • Food Worker Card
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Blood Borne Pathogens/HIV training
  • Mandated Reported Training
  • MMR Vaccination Record
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Record
  • Must attend any required training
