What We Do

Kids Co. at John Hay, located at John Hay Elementary, provides a high-quality after-school care program focused on building students’ self-confidence, life skills, and curiosity. In our after-school program, students join us in one of our two rooms: a pull-out space in a classroom for our Kindergarten – 1st graders, and a pull-out program in John Hay’s spacious cafeteria for our 2nd-3rd graders, and another pull-out space in a classroom for our 4th-5th graders. All three of the after-school programs serve as a time for students to wind down after a long day at school. Snack is available upon arrival. Our after-school program is based on choice. Students make decisions to participate in our daily teacher-led activity, indoor free-play, or outdoor/gym active play. A dedicated homework time allows students a safe and supportive environment to get a start on their homework. A group clean-up and evening meeting finish off our day.

Summer Day Camp-Summer of Discovery!
July - August 2019

Our Kids Co. Summer Day Camps keep kids active, having fun, and learning all summer long so come along with us!

Kids will play with friends, create and explore new things, and travel to different places each week.

We are excited to launch our new programs, Kids Co.’s Big Read and Summer Run for Fun. Each day kids will dive into good books and track their progress, and collect “reading” tokens. Summer Run for Fun is our way of incorporating exercise, in a fun way, into our daily routine. Kids will earn “running shoes” tokens and track how far they’ve run, jogged, walked, or even skipped.
