Employee Benefits Summary

Kids Co. offers the following benefits to its employees. These benefits are subject to change.

Paid Leave:

Kids Co. offers Paid Time Off and Sick Leave to all employees. Employees who work 30 – 40 hours per week earn vacation time in addition to PTO and sick leave.

Paid Time Off (PTO):

Kids Co. provides paid time off (PTO) benefits to all eligible employees for periods of temporary absence for reasons other than illness or safety. Eligible employees can earn a maximum of 5 days (40 hours based on 2080 hours worked) per calendar year. Accrual for hourly employees is based on hours worked.

Sick and Safe Leave:

Kids Co. provides paid sick and safe leave benefits to all paid employees for periods of temporary absence due to illness, injury, incidents of domestic violence, or sexual assault of employees and family members. Eligible employees can earn a maximum of 7 days/56 hours (40 hours based on 2080 hours worked) per calendar year. Accrual for hourly employees is based on hours worked.

Vacation:

Vacation benefits are earned by full-time employees who work 30 hours or more per workweek. Accrual rate is based upon length of service with the organization.

Accrual Rates are:
1-3 years of service = 10 days; 4-6 years of service = 15 days; 7+ years of service = 20 days.

In all cases where vacation benefits are earned, 1 day of vacation is equal to the number of hours normally worked each day (i.e. if you work 6.5 hours/day, 1 day of vacation = 6.5 hours). Employees are eligible to take five (5) days of vacation after the first six (6) months of continuous service.

All employees, who are not on “casual/temporary employee” status, receive the following paid holidays following the first day of work:
