Ensuring every child has a healthy breakfast with Safeway Foundation’s Nourishing Neighbors Program
During the month of September 2021 when you visit the Safeway store in Shoreline you’ll see signs for the Nourishing Neighbors fundraiser and you’ll have the opportunity to donate when you checkout. We hope you will participate by choosing to direct your donation to Kids Co., a nonprofit child care organization!

Kids Co. is excited to have been selected as one of the Nourishing Neighbors charity partners for this Safeway location. We plan to use the funds raised to purchase a diverse assortment of nutritious breakfast foods such as fresh fruit, whole grain breads, yogurt, and milk – all for children in our child care centers.
Nourishing Neighbors aims to fight hunger by helping keep food banks stocked, supporting meal distribution programs at schools, and supporting programs that provide food to the food-insecure.
As a program of Safeway Foundation, Nourishing Neighbors is working to eradicate childhood hunger in America. Their September giving campaign is focused on raising funds to ensure that every child in our neighborhood has access to a healthy breakfast.
