Contributions to Kids Co. support three areas of our operation:

• the ongoing implementation of best practices in childcare;
• recruiting and retaining exceptional childcare professionals; and
• uninterrupted care for the children and families we serve through a tuition assistance program.

Give a Hoot for Kids! Support Child Care Scholarships!

Last fiscal year (Sept 1, 2011 to August 31, 2012), 290 Kids Co. scholarships were awarded to enroll children whose families were experiencing financial hardship. This fiscal year we are anticipating topping 300 scholarships awarded, an unprecedented number in Kids Co.'s history, and will likely near 325.

Kids Co. works hard to keep the costs of care down in order to keep our programming accessible to all families, but child care is a high-touch relationally driven field that must maintain specific teacher to child ratios for licensing.

We do not see this as a negative--it is good when children have the level of support and supervision they need to thrive--but it means that we need partners, like you, to ensure that all children who need scholarship help get it. Since 1989, Kids Co. has held true to a commitment never to turn away a child due to financial circumstance. This commitment is the heart and soul of our organization, one that has touched the lives of thousand of children in Kids Co.'s 24 years.

Matching Gifts

With matching gifts you can sometimes double or even triple your gift!

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please enter your employer’s name below.

If your company matches, you may be able to access the forms directly through the search. Follow the set procedure, and Kids Co. will be happy to assist. The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

Invest in Kids by Gifting Appreciated Securities

Donating appreciated securities provides a path for donors to support Kids Co. while reaping the tax benefit of avoiding capital gains taxes. The process is relatively simple. The fair market value of donated securities is determined on the day of their transfer to Kids Co. The donor receives an immediate donation credit and a tax-deduction for the full fair market value of the donated securities, no matter how much was originally paid for them. Leave a Legacy, Remember Kids Co. in your Will

For many of us, the last act of life is the new life we create through the gifting of our estate assets. If you are drawn to the work of Kids Co. and have a tender spot in your heart for the care of children, consider naming Evergreen Children’s Association (dba Kids Co.) in your will.
