Kids Co. has been providing high-quality child care to Mercer Island families since 1995, and we are thrilled to be able to offer care at all three elementary schools in the 2007-2008 school year.
We strive to provide a place where every child can feel comfortable and welcome. The children are encouraged to develop their own ideas and express their own views. As a team, our staff works to make sure that each child feels both a respected part of the group and a unique individual. We also like to get to know each family through social events and daily interaction. We hope to make Kids Co. on Mercer Island your child's home away from home.
BEFORE-SCHOOL PROGRAM (7:00 - 9:00 AM)
Our morning program begins at 7:00 am in the portable. We provide an environment that allows children to "wake-up" at their own speed. We offer teacher-directed projects and free-choice activities, as well as outside play. We serve a nutritious breakfast between 8:00 and 8:30am, and post a menu on the Parent Board for you to see. Activities range from arts and crafts and science to large-motor activities and games.
AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM (3:30 - 6:00 PM, Early Release Mondays 2:00 - 6:00 PM)
The afternoon program provides a variety of after-school opportunities. A typical afternoon may include Homework Club, cooking, arts and crafts, library time, computer lab or outside play.
Homework club is an activity held Monday through Thursday that provides small group time for completing school assignments with support from the center staff from 4:30-5:00pm.
Our staff works hard to create fun activities that engage busy minds yet contrast with the structure and focus of the school day.
Our goal is to support your child so that she may grow to be a healthy and positive person. Together, Kids Co. and your family can make this experience one of fond memories and exciting adventures for your child.
