Full-Time Program Coordinator/Lead Pre-K Teacher (Kids Co. at John Hay)
Kids Co. at John Hay located in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle seeks a full-time Program Coordinator/Lead Pre-K Teacher. This position is a 32 hour a week position with benefits. The Program Coordinator works as part of a team with the Program Director and Assistant Director to provide high quality care in our school-age program and will also be responsible for creating and leading a pilot Pre-K program in the fall.
Required Qualifications:- AA or higher in ECE or Elementary Education or related field. 1 or more years supervisory experience, 2 years teaching preschool or preschool/school-age combination programs. Summer Day Camp experience is preferred. STARS basic training is required within 2 months of hire (upon hire is preferred). First Aid/CPR, negative TB test and HIV Awareness training also required. Reliability, professional maturity, and positive attitude extremely important.

Lead Preschool Teacher (Kids Co. at Graham Hill)
Kids Co. at Graham Hill, located in the South Seattle/Seward Park neighborhood seeks a dynamic and experienced Lead Preschool teacher for our fully licensed center located on-site at Graham Hill Elementary.
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position with generous benefits and a beautiful new facility serving children 2½ to 12.
Required Qualifications:- Professional maturity and positive attitude
- Minimum AA in ECE or Child Development
- 2+ years of experience as a Lead teacher in a licensed program
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of child development and curriculum planning/implementation
- First/Aid, CPR, STARS basic and continuing hours, knowledge of anti-bias approach and DAP.
- Ability to work with a team, flexible and reliable
Preferred Qualifications:- BA in ECE or Child Development
- Recent experience with NAEYC accreditation
- Knowledge and practice of Reggio Emilia methodologies
- Experience working in a non-profit center
- Ability to give tours and speak to groups
- Experience with child assesments, home visits, and/or documentation
- Computer competency in Windows and Microsoft Office

Part-time School-Age Counselor (Kids Co. at South Shore)
Kids Co. at the New School at South Shore, located in South Seattle is searching for an experienced and dynamic School-Age Counselor to fill an opening in our morning team. The shift is Monday-Friday from 7:00-9:00 AM.
Required Qualifications:- Minimum high school diploma, experience working with children in a group setting, desire to be a positive role model and professional maturity to work with a team. First Aid/CPR, Washington State background check, TB test and STARS 20 hour basic training is required within the first 90 days of employment (upon hire is preferred).
Desired Qualifications:- AA or BA in education or related field, 2 or more years experience working in an afterschool or summer day camp program (preferably licensed), knowledge of quality indicators and/or accreditation standards for afterschool programs, experience working in public schools or partnering with other agencies.
Additional hours during the day may be available for early dismissals and no-school days/breaks. Sub hours may also be available. Possible full-time hours for the summer, June 26-Aug 31.

On-Call Substitutes (year-round, all centers)
Kids Co. is always searching for qualified, experienced individuals looking to work as a substitute School-Age Counselor, Assistant Teacher or Preschool Teacher. Shift hours vary by center, and may be up to 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Substitutes are paid at the same hourly wage as regular staff based on number of years of experience and related education from $8.97 to $15.84 per hour. Substitutes are very often considered for regular positions when available. Experience working with groups of children in a center setting is preferred.
