2012 SUMMER DAY CAMP WEEKLY THEMES:
GADGETS AND GIZMOS (JUNE 25-29)
Amaze your parents with your potato powered clock. Dumbfound your neighbor when you explain you know how jet proportion works. We're kicking off our summer of with the exploration of the secrets of engineering, chemistry and maybe even a little physics. You are never too young ( or old) to learn how things work!
AMAZING ANIMALS: STRANGE AND RARE (JULY 2-6; CLOSED JULY 4)
During this exciting week, Kids Co. will venture deep into the central African jungles in search of the allusive Okapi and travel to the rainforests of Borneo in a quest to find tiny Tarsiers. In this adventurous week, we will go anywhere and everywhere in search of the strange and rare. Together, we will discover all sorts of amazing new animals to learn about!
SUSTAINA-WHAT? (JULY 9-13)
Sustaina-What? Why are grownups always talking about sustainability? What does it even mean? During this week we will learn all about what it means to be sustainable by looking at local pea patches, recycling programs and other sustainability efforts! Kids have a role to play in sustainability, too, and it all starts with learning!
IRON CHEF: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED (JULY 16-20)
This is not your ordinary cooking week. During “Iron Chef” week, we will push our taste-buds to the limit, discovering all sorts of new and interesting flavors from around the world. We will also be looking at where our food comes from and starting our own vegetable garden. But that’s not all we will be doing-- we will also be teaming up with a local food bank to learn the importance of sharing.
MAD SCIENCE: BODIES! (JULY 23-27)
The femur bone is connected to the…Patella bone? Bones, Muscles, nerves and organs are the focus of this week. We will look at how the body work and all the amazing and intricate things it can do and does every day!
GOING GLOBAL, PART 1 (JULY 2-AUGUST 2; CLOSED AUGUST 3)
Don't skimp on the Vegemite, because we are heading to lands south of the equator for a quick week-long trip to the southern hemisphere. The first of a two part series, “Going Global: Down Under and Beyond,” will look at the many cultures, histories, ecologies and cuisines of our world’s southern regions. Pack your bags, because this is a trip you do not want to miss!
GOING GLOBAL, PART 2 (AUGUST 6-10)
Week two of the “Going Global” two-part series arrives just in time to beat the heat! This week, Kids Co. at TOPS summer day campers will their bags and head north. The second half of our two week trip around the world will take us to the chilliest parts of the world, from Mongolia to Finland. We will look at local customs, taste new snacks, and listen to the music of the people of the north.
DIGGIN' DINO (AUGUST 13-17)
The late Triassic period is coming to Kids co.! This week there will be spikes and sharp teeth galore, more than a kid could imagine! We will spend this week excavating fossils and asking thought-provoking scientific questions, such as in a fight between Megladon and Tyrannosaurus Rex who would win? Come and find out.
SUMMER IN A SUBMARINE (AUGUST 20-24)
You cannot seem to get enough of Blue Planet? We cannot either! So put on our flippers and dive with Kids Co. into the world of the deep. This week, we will learn about bizarre and exotic creatures you have to see in order to believe. Vampire squid anyone?
ART SMART: LOOKING AT THE WORLD OF COLOR (AUGUST 27-30)
Oh, the magical, world of color! This week, Kids Co. at TOPS summer day campers will explore the colors of the rainbow! We will view the world, one color at a time, examining why colors are so important and learning about the natural phenomena that make color—well color! Of course, one cannot study color without creating great, colorful art! We will do this, too!

- 7AM-6PM $198 per week
- 9AM-4PM $183 per week
DAILY RATES (2 day min):
- 7AM-6PM $52 per day
- 9AM-4PM $48 per day
